Membership Info

There are two membership types:

Active Membership: Active membership shall be open to anyone twenty-one (21) years of age or older who is an active or retired member of an organized police agency or their auxiliary/reserve police force certified by the Maryland Police Training Commission, or officers and special agents of federal law enforcement agencies.

Associate Membership: Associate membership may be gained by submission of an application for membership along with the prescribed dues.  Applicant must be sponsored for membership by a current member in good standing with the organization and have no criminal history.  Membership is then with the approval of the Executive Board.

To apply for either membership type, please download the Membership Application.  Mail the completed form to the P.O. box listed below.  You will be contacted after your application has been reviewed.

Membership dues are $25.00 per person, per year and are required of all members!

Checks can be made payable to LOABC and mailed to: P.O. Box 21797, Baltimore, MD 21222-6797.

Members in good standing will receive a membership card.  If there are any questions with regard to your membership, please contact Matthew Betz, Secretary/Treasurer of the Association.  (matthew.betz@loa-bc.org ) Please do not call any other board member!
